One day after President Barack Obama urged Congress to move quickly on a request for $3.7 billion in emergency funds to address the Texas border crisis, Speaker John A. Boehner made it clear the spending supplemental will not be rubber-stamped.

“We’re not giving the president a blank check,” Boehner said during his weekly press conference Thursday.

Boehner said one appropriate response to the border crisis was to send in the National Guard, something Obama said yesterday would be considered — though Boehner said the White House wants the spending approved with with “no strings attached.”

“In other words, he won’t do it for the kids; it’s all about politics,” Boehner said.

The Ohio Republican noted that a working group in the House was “reviewing” the supplemental request, and that they would have more to say in the future.

“Beyond that, we’ll wade through the discussion with our members before we make any final decisions,” Boehner said.

Congress needs to cut funds to Mexico, Latin America so that they can take care of these invaders. The border needs to be shut down. And the Red Cross needs to be called in to find out what the administration is doing.

This is insane. Our national security and safety are at risk and Congress is allowing this.

Why the theater again on both sides. Of course Congress is going to authorize the spending. Of course the amount will have to be re-authorized multiple times because now the ACLU is demanding taxpayers also pay immigration attorneys. Like it matters. We all know everyone will get to stay even without an attorney representing them.
The political left is willing to go along with the “immigrant activists’” demands for a de facto open border because it is the only way the “activists” will register voters for Democrats.
But Detroit is a case study in ruling without the consent of the taxed as well as the consent of the voters. Democrats would be well served if they remembered that. It usually isn’t (D) voters with STEM degrees that allow them to seek visas to other countries. In fact they are usually pretty apolitical people who just adapt as necessary.

We should not pay a cent until the border is closed, and the check should have guarantees thatit will stay closed. In my opinion, Obama pulled this stunt to force the passing of the immigration bill that he wants. He cares not what the citizens of this country want. His agenda is his own and he does not have the sense to listen to the wise people around him or the people he supposedly represents. It has all gone insane around us and all he wants is for us to throw more money at every turn. We are all worse off than we have ever been and he wants us somehow to accept more debt. I am 67 years old, and never dreamed I would see our country in this much horror.

Why can’t we deduct the $3.7 Billion from the financial aid we flood into those countries? I bet the tsunami of illegals would reduce to a trickle if they had to contribute to the care for the hordes of people with no means of support they are putting on our doorstep. And, the $3.7 billion is just an installment, because these masses will be unable to fend for themselves for years to come. The ones that are processed, many of whom are not little children, but only a year or less from being adults by our country’s definition, by half have already disappeared into the wind. Coming back for their court dates? Yeah, that’s going to happen. We need to deduct for each and every body that is coming in this way on the funds we pump into those countries or we are the taxpaying saps that are getting charged twice. What other idiotic country does this, especially when we were already in an economic crisis before this happened? And Mexico should be cut off TOTALLY! They have made it their business to humiliate the US every chance they get. While they are treating our honorable marine like a POW, we still allow their people who do exactly what he did to be back with their families in Mexico within 24 to 48 hours. They are treating us like clowns, because this country is being turned into a three-ring circus with the Master of Ceremonies in the top hat in the middle ring! Come one, come all! Step right this way! Welcome to the Big Top! Only in this circus we pay your ticket!

Why can’t we deduct the $3.7 Billion from the financial aid we flood

their court dates? Yeah, that’s going to happen. We need to deduct for each
and every body that is coming in this way until they are accounted for as
gone from the rolls from the funds we pump into those countries or we
are the taxpaying saps that are getting charged twice every year this
continues. What other idiotic country does this, especially when we were
already in an economic crisis before this happened? This is unsustainable! Now each of them that are inevitably going to remain here, will be the anchors for their family members to come next. And Mexico should be cut off TOTALLY! They have made it their business to humiliate the US every chance they get. We are funding a country of drug cartel thugs in power with our tax dollars, and our tourists spend money like crazy there and our military frequents their bars on the border and sustains their economy. They are sour grapes that we didn’t keep the whole territory, so now they have to break into ours. Nobody
from this side is trying to break into theirs. Imagine what this side
would be like if they had won and controlled it all. But by invading our
side, we will look pretty much like them and suffer the criminal
element that is their government over here. While they are treating our
honorable marine like a POW, we still allow their people who do exactly
what he did to be back with their families in Mexico within 24 to 48
hours. They are treating us like clowns, because this country is being
turned into a three-ring circus with the Master of Ceremonies in the top
hat in the middle ring! Come one, come all! Step right this way!

Along with giving “no blank check” for this mess, the Congress also needs to specify exactly what the money would be able to buy : more people to quickly process the illegals, a couple of MRE’s for their trip home, and a “death train” that goes in reverse!
