Saturday night’s all right for fighting — as well as Nashville “hot chicken,” grilled pimento cheese sandwiches and chicken ‘n waffles at Capitol Lounge.
D.C. Chef Adam Cox is taking over the Cap Lounge kitchen this Saturday night for a pop-up concept dubbed Maison Dixon, a play on the Mason-Dixon Line and the French word for “house” or “home-made.”
From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Cox will ply the Hill haunt with his version of what Nashville folks describe as “come to Jesus” eating:
Cox has been inviting folks to his Capitol Hill home for “C Street Smoke” Sunday suppers for a while now, and feeding such masses gave him the idea for the Maison Dixon pop-up, which he eventually hopes to turn into a brick-and-mortar offering.
