Cool move by the Washington Nationals to have Mary Bridget Davies, who is in town playing Janis Joplin at Arena Stage’s production of “One Night With Janis Joplin” sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Saturday’s Nats-Colorado Rockies game.
It seems that the Rockies were more inspired by the blues-rock rendition of the national anthem, as they went on to beat the home team, 7-1.
Roll Call After Dark is about what Washington does when it's not at work.
The District of Columbia is a cultural capital where you can you get your kicks from movies projected on the National Mall, lectures on vermouth or Russian avant-garde art. There's always something to do.
