The supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, takes himself pretty seriously. But you would think he might be pleased by a video of his head super-imposed on a bunch of people who, for the most part, have some serious dance moves.
Instead, North Korea has asked China to take the video down, as it threatens the “dignity” of their leader. “Beijing,” an account reads, “was unable to oblige.”
There are a couple embarrassing ones in there, to be sure. Kim takes some karate kicks from President Barack Obama but wins a few battles, too. The Osama bin Laden dance-along might also not be the most flattering. But hey, not everybody can ride a pig that well! OK, maybe it’s not all that dignified.
The anger over the video follows closely on the heels of North Korea getting mad about the U.S. movie “The Interview,” and at a time when Secretary of State John Kerry is optimistic that North Korea is settling down, in part due to a U.S. partnership with China.
