Congressional Aides Mull Insurance Exchange Plan Options

Congressional staff account for more than a quarter of all people enrolled in the District of Columbia’s health insurance exchange plans, so when they make decisions, the effects can ripple.
Roll Call’s Hannah Hess reports that staffers are reviewing the options and premium price changes for the next enrollment period set to begin later this year.
Some congressional staffers are not located in Washington, D.C., but still enroll through the D.C. exchange.
However, only one provider offers network coverage across all 50 states.
