Although Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., has announced she will not run for re-election, she still has funds available to maintain a base of national support for her ideas and positions. Her 2012 presidential campaign raised $10 million and half of that came from small unitemized contributions of $200 or less. Her fundraising in the first three months of 2013 was among the top five in receipts among House members.
Her campaign committee, Bachmann for Congress, raised $683,724 in the first three months of 2013 and had $1,893,664 cash on hand as of March 31, and debts of $127,997. There may be future expenses for legal fees relating to current investigations of her 2012 presidential race.
