Actors and actresses, such as “Veep” Vice President Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Pitt, do get involved with politics in real life, sometimes as star attractions at fundraising events for politicians, and sometimes they even contribute their own time and money to support their candidates and causes.
For example, Louis-Dreyfus has pushed for rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, and Pitt has pushed for programs on affordable housing in New Orleans.
Here are a few of the actors and actresses who have given in 2013.
