Chamber of Commerce Spends $200K on Ads for McConnell

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce reported it purchased $200,000 in advertisements defending Sen. Mitch McConnell for his protection of the coal industry.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce reported to the Federal Election Commission that it paid Revolution Media $181,500 on 12/2 for television advertisements as independent expenditures supporting Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. The Chamber also paid $18,500 on 12/3 to Revolution Media for online advertisements.

The ads defend McConnell’s record for protecting the coal industry and battling the rules of the Environmental Protection Agency.
