Conservative Group Starts New Round of Ads Against Senators

A national conservative group has bought its first round of political ads of 2014, targeting three U.S. Senators for their support of Obamacare.
The Federal Communications Commission made public documents showing Americans for Prosperity had purchased $30,300 of political issue ads at WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Americans for Prosperity states it is “committed to educating citizens about economic policy and mobilizing citizens as advocates in the public policy process.”
On its website, the organization stated the ads were part of a seven-figure ad campaign to hold three U.S. Senators accountable for their support of the President’s health care law. The three senators targeted include Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La.
The WBTV contract calls for ads to run from December 30, 2013 to January 9, 2014. The ads will appear on news shows and others, such as, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 5-0, Mentalist, 60 mins., Person of Interest, NCIS, the Peoples Choice Awards, and CBS Soaps.
