Ducks Unlimited Calls on Congress

An international organization that has its own television show is lobbying Congress on wetlands and waterfowl conservation issues.
Ducks Unlimited Inc. is an international non-profit organization dedicated to conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife, and people. Ducks Unlimited reported today it has spent $65,000 lobbying the federal government during the fourth quarter of 2013. For the year, they spent $260,000 on lobbying.
The organization produces Ducks Unlimited TV. DU TV is moving to the Pursuit Channel and a new season begins in July 2014.
The organization lobbied in the fourth quarter on assuring migratory bird habitat conservation; agricultural conservation issues; improving hunting access issues; duck stamp legislation; coastal wetland loss; waterfowl conservation programs; extending conservation easement tax incentives; and wetland/waterfowl issues in the transportation bill.
Their lobbyists include Gary Taylor, Dan Wrinn, Caroline Brower, Whitney Tawney, and Kellis Moss.
