Giffords terminated her Giffords for Congress committee yesterday and transferred $297,703 in remaining funds to her PAC, Rights and Responsibilities PAC, formerly called Gabby PAC. She started her PAC in July 2012. The PAC reported receipts of $29,108 in 2012. In 2013, the PAC reported receipts of $20,193 through 6/30, leaving $14,980 cash on hand as of 6/30.

Her super PAC, Americans for Responsible Solutions, was launched on January 8, 2013, the second anniversary after she was shot. The super PAC reported receipts of $6.6 million in the first six months of 2013, leaving $4.8 million cash on hand as of 6/30. The super PAC was created to encourage elected officials to stand up for solutions to prevent gun violence and protect responsible gun ownership.
