Hot Legislative Issues Get More Lobbyists

The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (VA) has hired Roberti White LLC (DC) to lobby on FDA drugs and pharmacy, specifically regulations covering the practice of pharmacy compounding. Richard White (former legislative coordinator to Sen. John Chafee), Steven Irizarry (former counsel, Senate HELP and Sen. Chuck Hagel), and Vincent Roberti Sr. will be the lobbyists.
The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (DC) has hired Elmendorf Ryan to lobby on issues related to gun safety and background check legislation. Steven Elmendorf and Rob Cogorno will be the lobbyists.
Red River-Lone Star Support Committee (TX) has hired Stapleton & Associates LLC (VA) to lobby for support of the Red River Army Depot and the community of Texarkana on issues that include: downsizing, federal budget reductions, Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), and economic development. Thomas Stapleton (senior legislative assistant to former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX).will be the lobbyist.
The Federation of State Medical Boards (DC) has hired Downey McGrath Group Inc. (DC) to lobby on legislative and excutive actions realted to the licensure of physicians, telemedicine, and state medical boards. Former Rep. Tom Downey (D-NY), former Rep. Ray McGrath (R-NY), and Sloan Rappoport will be the lobbyists.
