Members of Congress & Lobbyists Rank Lowest in Honesty & Ethics

A new Gallup poll has found lobbyists and Members of Congress ranked at the bottom of the list of the professions ranked for honesty and ethical standards.

The Gallup Poll was conducted Dec. 5-8 and asked the question, “Please tell me how you would rate the honesty and ethical standards of people in these different fields — very high, high, average, low or very low?” The second profession to the bottom was being a Member of Congress and at the very bottom was being a lobbyist.

Nurses, pharmacists, and grade school teachers were at the top of the list.

no surprise there. But is it the politicians fault or the voters who never hold their own party to any ethical standard? Why should a party member be honest when their supporters want to hear the lies that make them feel good. People only care when the OTHER side lies and since the politician isn’t getting their vote anyway it doesn’t matter.

Chuck Schummer of New York says, “Veterans retirement of $9000. a year can be
cut to help the deficit, but, Congress that makes $174,000. can not be cut because they haven’t had a raise in a few years.” We the American people say, the Veterans have done enough for this country. What has Congress done for this country? Congress helped to ruin this country.”
