Republican Super PAC Spends Against Republicans

The war chest of a Republican-oriented Super PAC has been filled by three donors giving hundreds of thousands of dollars in March, but the funds are being spent against a Democrat and several Republicans.

Ending Spending Action Fund, the super PAC of a 501c4 non-profit organization, reported it had receipts of $1,350,000 and disbursements of $375,438 during the first quarter of the year, leaving $977,621 cash on hand as of March 31st.

The super PAC founder, J. Joe Ricketts, former CEO and chairman of T.D. Ameritrade, gave $550,000 on March 17th. Paul Singer, CEO of Elliott Management Corporation, gave $350,000 on March 18th. The Baupost Group LLC of Boston, Massachusetts, gave $450,000 on March 28th.

The super PAC was set up to educate and engage taxpayers about wasteful and excessive government spending.

During the first quarter the super PAC made $174,958 in independent expenditures against Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., and $150,075 against candidate Michelle Nunn, D-Ga., in the Georgia Senate race.

Since the beginning of April, the super PAC has spent $150,319 more against Senate candidate Michelle Nunn, D-Ga.; $498,422 against Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga.; $46,833 against Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C.; and $70,273 for former Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., for his U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire.

I hope the American people will not forget the more than two million unemployed workers, and their families, who have been without unemployment benefits, since late last December. For the past four months, these families have had to endure countless delays, and party politics, while facing evictions, home foreclosures, personal bankruptcy, and homelessness. The Republican senators, have used these people as both bargaining chips, and for political leverage to further their political agendas. These people have worked all of their lives, paying into the system for such an unfortunate occasion, but have found themselves left hung out to dry by the republicans. While billions of tax payer’s dollars has been approved for the Ukraine, no extension bill to help these poor Americans has been passed in the senate. Senators like John Boehner, have used every possible method to have the extension bill killed in the senate. The Republicans have shown a total disregard and distain for the poor in this country, as well as for women in the workplace. Apparently, women also have suffered in the senate with the rejection of equal pay. Please help these families in dire need of this extension bill. For many it may already be too late to have helped them. Many families are living in their cars, or on the streets, after being unable to pay their mortgage and rent
