Rubio’s PAC Has Best Month Fundraising

Reclaim America, the leadership PAC of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) reported its best month for fundraising since the PAC started receiving funds in August 2011. In the 2011-2012 cycle the PAC raised $1.8 million. During February 2013 it reported receipts of $290,486 and disbursements of $219,916, leaving $202,202 cash on hand as of 2/28. Most of the receipts were from small unitemized contributions in amounts of $200 or less.
The PAC received $39,500 from PACs, including $26,000 from transportation company PACs such as American Airlines PAC
($5,000), Assn of American Railroads PAC
($1,000), BNSF Railway RAILPAC
($5,000), CSX Corp. Good Government Fund
($5,000), Norfolk Southern Corp. Good Government Fund
($5,000), and Union Pacific Corp.Fund for Effective Government
($5,000). Sen. Rubio is on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. Reclaim America also itemized $18,425 in individual contributions, including $5,000 from Wayne Berman
