Sarah Palin’s PAC Maintains $1 Million Balance


The political action committee of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin continues to raise and spend funds and maintains a $1 million balance for the first six month of 2013.

Sarah PAC reported it raised $460,538 and spent $496,506, leaving $1,113,971 cash on hand as of June 30.  The PAC raised $341,557 from contributors giving $200 or less and itemized $105,324 from those giving more than $200.

The itemized contributors were spread around the country, including $14,912 from California, $9,794 from Texas, $7,737 from Pennsylvania and $7,580 from Florida, among other states.

The PAC spent $97,500 on consultants and logistics; $73,413 on postage; $69,000 on fundraising consultants and compliance; $37,900 on speechwriting; $43,126 on direct mail fees; and $20,016 on airfare; among other expenses.

The PAC gave a $5,000 contribution on May 15 to Jason Smith, R-Mo. for his special election.
