Sen. Rand Paul Receives $90,000 in Book Royalties

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has disclosed he received $90,000 in royalties from Hachette Book Group in New York, according to his personal financial disclosure report covering 2012, just filed.
Hachette Book Group has published two books by Sen. Rand Paul. The Tea Party in Washington was published in February 2011 as the Senator started his first year in office. Government Bullies, How Everyday Americans Are Being Harassed, Abused, And Imprisoned By The Feds was published in hardback form in September 2012 and just released in paperback form this August.
Paul, an ophthalmologist, also reported selling his medical practice, McPeak Vision, in Bowling Green, Ky., for $55,000. His largest investment was in Inflation-Protected Securities Fund valued between $100,0001 to $250,000. He also reported $50,001 to $100,000 in a money market fund; several 529 Plans for dependents; and about $200,000 in several retirement accounts.
