Lincoln Labs, a conservative-leaning, West Coast tech policy organization, has booked two prominent Republican lawmakers as the keynoters for its inaugural Reboot conference July 18-20 in San Francisco.
Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, the tech-aware potential presidential candidate, and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rogers of Washington, the chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, “will provide attendees with first-hand exposure to two of Washington’s leaders and prominent thinkers on the issues of the day,” Lincoln-Labs co-founder Garrett Johnson said in a news release.
Here’s a little bit about Lincoln Labs, from its About page:
Out of the shellacking of 2012, we started LincolnLabs to reach a forgotten community that felt ostracized with no home. Though the media and the Beltway thought the technology community and Silicon Valley were solidly left, we thought differently. We were conservatarian living in Silicon Valley. If we are here, there has to be others!
