Kirk Makes First Floor Speech Since Stroke on ENDA (Video)

Nearly two years after suffering a stroke, Sen. Mark S. Kirk, R-Ill., on Monday made his first speech on the Senate floor since December 2011.

Kirk, who underwent rehabilitation for more than 11 months before returning to the Senate in January, took the floor in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would prevent discrimination by employers on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

This law is laughable. Straight people are the MOST discriminated against. The most discriminated group are women over 40 WITH children. As a woman engineer, the only problems I ever had was with gay women who mocked me, pushed me on the job, made fun of me and my children in meetings, sideline my work you name it. The meanest, nastiest, most evil people are lesbians which is 90% of all women in the government. How does this law protect me? These so -called people are just looking for another way to rob the treasury with their fraud existence.

So, this guy Kirk has a stroke and gets millions dollars worth of health care at government expense. Yet he opposed ACA so others could have health insurance to get the same quality health care.. Typical republican jerk.

The following time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my option to read, but I truly thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix should you werent too busy looking for attention.

My programmer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
