White House Counsel to Review Naming of CIA Chief in Kabul

The White House will conduct an internal review of the circumstances leading to Sunday’s disclosure to members of the White House press corps of the identity of a CIA station chief.

The event transpired Sunday, when as part of President Barack Obama’s surprise trip to visit with troops in Afghanistan, the Kabul “chief of station” was included on a list of participants in a meeting distributed to the traveling press pool and subsequently sent to a broader list of reporters, as explained by The Washington Post.

“The Chief of Staff has asked the White House Counsel, Neil Eggleston, to look into what happened and report back to him with recommendations on how the Administration can improve processes and make sure something like this does not happen again,” National Security Counsel Spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said in a statement.

CQ Roll Call reached out to a number of key Senate offices earlier Tuesday about the incident, but as of the time Hayden’s statement was circulated to the media, no Senate office had provided a substantive response when asked if the matter should be referred to the Department of Justice for investigation.

Asked by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer if the individual’s whose identity was compromised had to depart Afghanistan, Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken demurred.

“You’ll understand that I can’t comment on the details, but you can rest assured that the security of this person is foremost in our minds and will be taken care of,” Blinken told CNN.

I wonder who hired all these incompetent people? Perhaps Obama can read about it in the paper.

One wonders…Eggelson as an attorney has a duty to his client Obama…but if the USA is being betrayed by this WH, and CIA operatives are being outed for kill…will Eggleston stand by for the commission of a crime?
At what point will this attorney consider his loyalties? To the fraud or his country?
Unless he too is part of the evil cabal?

Enoughlies, the problem is, is that Obama and his minions are “progressives” and anything they do or say is, therefore, to be excused at all costs. No one will be “brought to justice” for “outing” a serving CIA operative…because they aren’t Republicans.

Where is the MSM’s outrage over a White House “outing” an active CIA officer? Where is the special prosecutor? Scooter Libby was prosecuted for this and served time in prison, even though it was Richard Armitage, a Democrat Deputy Secretary of State who did the evil deed.

Why hasn’t the MSM exploded over this. Valerie Plame wasn’t an “operative” she was an office hack…and yet the MSM went batsheet crazy looking for someone to prosecute for outing her.

Where is the outrage? Or was it merely yet another example of MSM Liberal Hypocrisy in action?

The White House investigating itself? About as laughable as the Attorney General investigating anything. You have zero credibility.

Is this how we dispose of CIA station managers who don’t cooperate fully with the administration now?

THE WHITE HOUSE AND THE SENATE HAVE FAILIED THESE MILLIONS OF FAMILIES MISERABLY. WITH EACH BLAMING THE OTHER FOR NOT DOING ENOUGH TO PASS THE EXTENSION BILL, THE SAD TRUTH IS THAT THEY NEVER TRULY CARED ENOUGH ABOUT PASSING IT FROM THE VERY START. THIS ALL ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE IN-FIGHTING AND PARTY POLITICS THAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON TO THE MISFORTUNE OF THE 2.6 MILLION UNEMPLOYED FAMILIES LEFT HUNG OUT TO DRY, MANY WHO HAVE SINCE BEEN FINANCIALLY DESTROYED IN THE PROCESS. THESE POLITICIANS DON’T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF THE 99 PERCENTERS IN THIS COUNTRY, BUT RATHER FOR THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS AND BIG CORPORATIONS, AND THEIR OWN PERSONAL WELL BEING. AMERICANS HAVE NO ONE REPRESENTING THEIR INTEREST ANY LONGER. SHAME ON THESE BOTH PARTIES FOR THEIR LACK OF ACTION AND COMPASSION FOR THEIR FELLOW AMERICANS IN NEED. AMERICA NEEDS A REVOLUTION AGAIN TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF WHERE WE’RE GOING. THIS COMING ELECTION WILL BE THE 99 PERCENTERS OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE THESE POLITICAL LIFERS OUT OF THEIR CUSHY JOBS.
